// The work

Customer identification for new credit accounts happened in branch, which meant multi-day onboarding, paperwork, and branch staffing. The national central bank had published a rulebook for fully remote identification.

The team delivered a single system to serve three major banks (Addiko, Raiffeisen, and ProCredit), and plugged into checkout at major electronics retailers so a customer could start a credit application at the register and finish it from their phone in minutes, including the regulator-required video identification call with a bank agent.

The video identification call follows the regulator's controls on lighting, screen behavior, document handling, and continuous video integrity. The team built a guided session that detects and corrects issues live, only allowing the bank agent to proceed once every regulatory check has been satisfied.

Outcomes

Tens of thousands of credit and product-financing applications completed end-to-end. Customer onboarding compressed from a multi-day, multi-branch-visit process to a single 15–20 minute remote session.

Embedded credit checkout went live at three major electronics retailers (Gigatron, Tehnomedija, and Tehnomanija), so customers could finance at the register without entering a branch.
